The addressing portion consists of 4 unknown bytes, 4 bytes for file offset, and 4 bytes for file length.

Next, there is a 32 byte string, which I assume marks the end of TOC and beginning of the data section. After it follows file data, with the file terminated by an 11 byte string, which probably acts as end of file marker.

Each 2010 MAgellan Road Mate also come with the company's exclusive One Touch personalization feature allowing you to save favorite destinations, categories, and searches. (May 25, 2010) Magellan today announced the latest generation of the Road Mate series of portable vehicle navigation devices.

All units also include spoken street names, 6 million points of interest, Quick Spell for error-free address entry, and multi-destination routing, as well as an Automatic Parking Lot Finder. The new series includes models in a variety of screen sizes and feature sets to meet any consumer navigation needs.

This update has those ramps and a large majority of the new construction recently completed.

I wish there was a way to "sample" a map update prior to purchase (i.e.: being able to enter a location and verifying it's accuracy), to ensure you don't waste $$$ purchasing an update that really doesn't help (like the 2008 update for me). At the time of the 2008 update, Google maps had many of the new roads/ramps, so I figured that update would to.

However, GPS manufacturers often lock out this extra functionality.

There are different packages and ways to unlock your GPS, however because there are so many different brands, it isn’t always one-size-fits-all.

This service, which is provided to Magellan customers, keeps the Magellan Road Mate apprised of any traffic conditions that may delay the drive and calculates route options for the driver to choose from.
